To answer your original question, manifestations can be broken down into lots of categories. We were discussing this in another thread but now I can't remember which one though. Demonic is really just a label that people tend to stick on dark energies whether they are non-human or human and negative. Poltergeist tends to be non-human, but being that poltergeist means "noisy ghost," that label tends to get thrown around haphazardly. So demonic/poltergeist...pretty much overlaps in a lot of areas. Better to weigh the manifestation on an individual basis.

Like Demonic Manifestations,poltergeist attacks Can be sudden and abvious or gradual and subtle until their perpetrators reach their full power, so In a sense one could mistake one for the other at the beginning, yes or no.
