Yeah.. I don't buy the whole hidden planet or second sun thingy.. it made for an interesting photograph, especially with the light burst.refraction in the sky...

@Tresess, totally digging the "sky appreciation" moment nickname :D

I heard of this before, and seen a short documentary on it. It is basically small fine ice crystals floating in the atmosphere, and the cause a reflection of the sun to appear, also sometimes with a solar halo that appears to connect the two.

Seen a cool sky today.. no rain, or overtly high humidity, (2 SUNS) but thought the extra light burst or as my friend called the second sun looked cool, I'VE SEEN STUFF LIKE THIS THROUGH LENS REFRACTION BUT NEVER WITH MY NAKED EYE. has anyone else seen similar stuff, or caught it?
