Hello Mark!

Glad to have you on board. I know Josh has been a great asset and has really represented BHPI well. If he's any indication of the BHPI team, I really look forward to working with you and all the other members very much in the upcoming months.

And you're right, sounds like your story is all too familiar with the rest of us who ended up getting into the field. There always seems to be something in our history which leaves unanswered questions. Those questions turn into a burning urge to know more and make the unexplained, explainable.

I think it derives from a deeply ingrained need for the human species to explain the universe around us. To simply accept that something happens goes against our very nature.

Hello all,

My name is Mark and I am new to this site. I am a current member of Black Hills Paranormal Investigations located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. I am an investigator/researcher for the group. I am a friend and co-member on BHPI with a current member here, Josh Wennes, who turned me on to this site.

I have been researching the paranormal seriously for 3 years now. I got into this field probably like quite a few of you, I had an experience with something paranormal a little over 30 years ago that has garnered more questions than answers. After retiring, I now have time to devote to trying to find answers to all those questions. I began searching for a no nonsense, critical thinking group and found it in BHPI.

I am a skeptic with an open mind. I think there might be something to some of the claims of paranormal activity. However, I believe about 95-97% of those claims can be explained. I am interested in the 3-5% of claims where we just cannot explain the activity.

I look forward to discussing paranormal topics with all of you.
