Red mist at Lake Quachita

I have to say that I think this one really is a play on light on the backdrop.

Look closely and you'll see that the pattern has the crease through it where the backdrop paper is creased. That is a sign that the light is coming from behind the paper. Most likely the sun, shining on the dark paper from behind causing it to create a brownish highlight.
