All today know or want to know the route of the Camino de Santiago, but actually we stopped to think where does this tradition or this devotion to the path?.

Galicia beautiful land in the north of Spain provides us with the friendly people and the sound of the restless sea, plenty of mysteries and puzzles that gradually we will learn.

Diving in the story, wrapped in dark secrets centuries past still make us curious and go looking for meaning, we move on this path full of keys that can be missed on our journey, but that exist or existed, or so we find in books, manuscripts or opinions of the sages of the time.

El Apostol Santiago, Galicia revered in making its patron, comes from Palestine to Spain and as the story was a disciple of Jesus, commending the evangelization of the nation from Andalusia to Galicia to fight against pagans, encouraged by the apparition of the Virgin .

Returning to Palestine in the days of Herod Agrippa, Santiago was beheaded in AD 44, because apparently it could not meet mandated, but two of his disciples stole the body and took him on a boat bound for Spain, specifically Padron (formerly Iria Flavia), and buried in what is known today as Compostela.


Many speculate about whether this is true or not, as in the year 820 as a result of a shower of stars discovered in a forest remains difficult to access some ecclesiastical authorities confirm that, "in quotes," be Santigo the Mayor, so they decide to build a temple.

The news of this discovery, begins to circulate, thus beginning the pilgrimage of the faithful.

These shrines were located in the Costa da Morte and they were very attractive to the Romans, Visigoths, Celts and Swabians, until it was considering a route pagan Christianity of the dead and creating the myth of St. James and the discovery of his tomb.


History and true mysteries hidden in regard to the Camino de Santiago, we will reveal the keys of the people who were intervening and let us see the other way, we find their traces and that had an important form of commands like Templars in this journey that keeps many riddles and secrets.
