Hello Celeste. It's nice to meet you! It would be great to do a little Ghost Hunting with you. Unfortunately my team isn't open for new memberships right now, but if their status changes or we host an event, I'll let you know ASAP!

I gave a link to Josh (Undertaker1) to a meet-up group site. I found the group I'm currently with. It may be a good tool for you too. Meetup | Find Local Groups, Events, and Activities Near You

I also know that the Stranahan House in Ft. Lauderdale hosts investigations every Friday at 7:30 (you have to call for a spot) with a group called, "Realm Chasers" That may be a good starting board for you as well. My group conducted an investigation of Stranahan House and it absolutely has paranormal activity. I won't tell you anything so not to ruin your hunt in case you decide to go. They also have Ghost Tours of the property on Sunday which includes a ride up the New River w/Ghostly Tales as you go.

It was so nice to meet you, Celeste! :)

Hi Josh, I know it must be hard to start-up a group. It takes a lot of committment and hard work. For some folks, it's a hobby and many don't have longevity when it comes to the actual committment of joining a team. For me, my team has become a second family to me. The group I'm with now (Gold Coast Paranormal Society) is fairly new. They started up in 2007. I became a member in 2008 around Christmas time. They'd started a Meet-Up Group on Meetup | Find Local Groups, Events, and Activities Near You . That's where I found them. I attended one of their meetings and the next thing I knew, I was a team member!

The meet-up site is pretty cool. It's a great way to meet like-minded people. It may be a good tool for you to use in order find potential team members and to start up your group in Ohio. We hosted Haunted Events where we took them for EVP sweeps in several local cemeteries, a Seminole Wars Battlefield Park, a supposedly haunted restaurant and also a private Ghost Tour of Ft. Lauderdale. It was a way to get our name out into the community and to meet some really nice folks. We also got in touch with the local libraries and hosted mini-seminars on the topic of Ghost Hunting. They were always a great success.

I would absolutely LOVE to have a chance to visit some of the more notorious haunts like Bob Mackeys, but it's hard to travel so far when you have a full-time job and bills that don't go away. I need to win that Florida Lotto! :P

My favorite investigation so far was the residential investigation we just came off of last weekend. I caught so much evidence via EVP/Ghostbox. I also had a personal experience where a glowing male face (it was as bright and white as a lightbulb) popped out in front of me. I had felt a wave of energy go up my back and as I turned around, that's what I saw! I hollered for a team member to come over with their EMF, but it was too late. The energy had dicipated and the face had vanished rather quickly. It only lasted maybe a couple of seconds before it had vanished. So there's really no "physical proof" of what I saw other than I KNOW WHAT I SAW. That's very frustrating, ya know? I tend to feel and hear and go by my instincts. They rarely let me down. Holding an EMF meter is good for those who want an exact reading, but I'm my own EMF. LOL! I do have one and use it for base readings and I do like the K2 meters with their pretty lights. :) Seems that I've written a short novel here, but as you know when we get to talking about Ghostsnhaunts, we can go on for-ev-er!

My name is Josh. Thank you for your goodluck comment. It is awsome to be a part of a team but hard getting it going. I live in Ohio and have 2 members currently, both out of state so hard to get everyone together. I am trying to het more members closer to me and work with the others as i can travel and them as well. The 2 members are great people and would love to be investigating all the time with them but right now not possible.
How is your team doing? What hs been your favorite investigation?
I will be going to Bobby Mackey's bar in Aug, but no other members will be there with me unfortunately. I was invited by another group. Should be a awsome experience just wish they could go as well.

Hi Undertaker1,

Yes. I'm a Team member and Secretary for the Gold Coast Paranormal Society I've been with them for 2 years now and I was with The Florida Ghost Team in 2008 but left with 10 others due to a difference of opinion with the group's director and that's all I'll say about that because she's still directing for them and there may be members on here.

I LOVE capturing EVPs and It seems to have become my forte. I rarely come away empty in any investigation.

I've found that I can sense when entites are near through vibrations and/or change in atmospheric pressure. I get a feeling much like when you take off in an airplane and your ears pop. Sometimes they feel sort of like an energy wave (don't quite know how to explain it) and I can even hear a sort of crackle along with it. I've often heard them and seen them as well. I don't doubt anymore and it's refreshing to KNOW. You know?!?

Where are you from, Undertaker1? I'm located in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Good Luck with your new team! :)

Here are a few of my favorite EVPs from my "Private Sessions at the Cemetery" collection. I have family members who are all gungho about Ghost Hunting and begged me to take them on a ghost hunt. I knew of a cemetery that was opened at night and that I had success with in the past. I saw an aparition there once before.

Long story short.... I've taken them to this cemetery about once or twice a month now and I NEVER leave without someone having an experience or capturing an amazing EVP.

For the record: Mr. Adler is a favorite of ours. I've captured several communications with him that are unbelievable. We make it a point to sit on his bench and have a talk before leaving after every visit.

Backstory on the first one was that I had not known much about the Jewish culture and mistakenly thought Mr. Adler to be a Star Trek/Sci-Fi fan. He had what I thought to be the "Live Long and Prosper" symbol on his headstone. Come to find out, it's a Jewish symbol. I had asked earlier what his favorite Sci-Fi Character was. He came back with this response about 2 minutes later.

The laughter is at our expense on the 2nd one. We're discussing our night's visit and he finds it quite amusing and starts to laugh. It even sounds like he's trying to hold it in!

The third one was in response to my mother in law fanning herself as she'd become hot. He though she was getting sick and responded.... My mother in law LOVES this clip!

There you have the stories behind the files. Enjoy the EVPs attached. ;)
