The Truth About Mirrors

Posted here is a picture of the vanity that I purchased from a resale shop. I had decided to put my abridged version of my Wiccan altar on it.

I saw things more clearly through the mirror. I knew that the bedroom where I lived in MO was haunted. I knew that the bathroom back there definitely was. I was finally able to see the spirits in the reflection of that mirror. I saw shadows constantly ducking in and out of the bathroom. I saw other spirits in the corners of the room.

In the picture, there is a face in the mirror, and two others on the wall next to it. Disbelievers say that it is just smears on the mirror. Then how do you explain the two faces next to the mirror on the wall?

I believe that mirrors enhance our natural abilities. In many spells, mirrors are used even more than water pools for divination. They work better for me for such spells.

I also did a ritual one night trying to connect with my magickal ancestors. The only ancestors I saw that night were from my Mother's side. The next day, my sister called me to tell me that my Mother's cousin, wh we refered to as an Aunt, had passed away that night. Coincidence? I realized after talking to my sister that the ancestor I saw most was that particular Aunt's mother.

No one can tell me what I have experienced in my life, especially in the past year, is explained away by non-existence of the supernatural.

"The Victorians had a lot superstitions associated with death. When there was a corpse in the house you had to cover all the mirrors," it was believed that mirrors reflected your soul and at death the soul of the loved one was near so many ominous things could happen:

• To see your reflection in a mirror is to see your own soul, (which is why a vampire, who is without a soul, have no reflection.)

• If a couple first catch sight of each other in a mirror, they will have a happy marriage.

• Any mirrors in a room where someone has recently died, must be covered so that the dead person's soul does not get trapped behind the glass. Superstition has it that the Devil invented mirrors for this very purpose.

• It is bad luck to see your face in a mirror when sitting by candlelight.

• Before mirrors, in ancient societies, if you caught sight of your reflection or dreamt of it, you would soon die.

• Someone seeing their reflection in a room where someone has recently died, will soon die themselves."

The mirrors are a mystery, perhaps keep secrets that we can not see. There are curses for those who break a mirror and each year there are cases of paranormal phenomena, where the mirrors are the protagonists.

According to many people in the mirrors there is another world, as if ours in an inverted way, things than us see things that are written correctly, that world is written backwards.

Another legend that is on the mirrors is that if one places a mirror in front of other creates an infinite portal where the spirits can move freely within the world of the living and dimension, the dimension of the dead.

now I wonder ... if every time I look in the mirror,.... I'll be being watched by someone or something? ... I do not know the truth ....
