Funding and Financing Research

We have never had any team finances to worry about LOL We all purchase what ever equipment we can manage and pool it for investigations. Each member pays their own way for gas etc and we all review our own evidence then have a meeting to share it and write up the final report.

I had a question for the team investigators here. Generally speaking, how does your team go about funding your operation? Are you solely running on your own work money, or do you accept donation as well? Do you ever do fundraising?

Also, how does your team manage finances? Does your team have a checking account under your team name, or is it under a single members identity?

I am looking to open an account under my team's name. I want to know what everyone's opinion is on this, and if there are better suggestions. I plan on linking a donation button through PayPal to this account. We do not charge for our services and never will, but alternative ways of raising funds would be nice.
