I think you're 100% correct. I've taken the 3 images in question and assigned each to one of the 3 primary color channels (Red/Green/Blue) and overlaid them.

The result is a combination of all pictures.



As you can see the orb is WHITE, which means it appears in all 3 images in the same location. Since white is a combination of all 3 primary colors.

I believe this photo as well as 2 others are something on the lense. In all 3 photos there is an orb in the very same place which makes it appear to be on the lense itself. Any other ideas I'm definitely curious.

It does look like lens glare maybe from the flash and the lights reflecting off ogf each other.
