Actually thats a great idea, except I would go one farther and say. Long-exposure images with a IR filter.

Guys what you're seeing behind the head is a group of leaves, at the low lighting it looks like an orb.

There appears to be an orb at what is the back of the statues head and i'm not totally sure but there may be something at the base of the big branch over to the right where it connects to the tree.
