Those are like a Guide gate, that was a running track at the YMCA. Made of Steel.

I have a question, the lines that run horizontally a crossed the room, are they painted or is it some sort of scaffolding or something?

My husband was all by himself,and remember,it was all dark ! All the lights were turned off in the whole building.Didn't even know he had caught it until we loaded on the PC the next day!

There were 4 of us, and No at that time my husband went back up stairs by himself, and was taking some last pics. Believe me , No One was up there but him. And we didn't even see this until we downloaded the pics on the PC. We were very excited!

That's a really cool photo. I like. BUT, just to double check, was there anyone else here?
