Molina Foix choose 6 stories to include in this excellent collection, specifically the following:
"The White Wolf of the Hartz Mountains," by F. Marryat. Set in the forested mountains of northern Germany, whose hero, curiously, is a wolf-woman, younger daughter of a woodcutter who murders his adulterous wife and that carries this "curse" as a result of the acts of his father.
Hughes, the werewolf, "Sutherland Menzies (possible" alternative "Elizabeth Stone), which brings the myth from the German forest to the forest of the Weald, in Kent, England.
"Camp Dog" in Blackwood, where Dr. Silence, "Ghostbusters" of its creation, go to an island north of Stockholm where a group of hunters camped face an unknown presence, with a curious developer system wolfish nature when it is in human form, the hashish.
"The Hunt" by Peter Fleming (brother of Ian, the creator of the famous James Bond) short story set in the waiting room of a railway station, and which appears for the first time the myth that men wolves can be recognized by the index finger longer than the heart.
"Taboo" by Geoffrey Household, who first introduced the silver as a protective mechanism, namely a silver dollar and where apparently evolved the idea of silver bullets as a means to kill werewolves.
"The Galoup" by Claude Seignolle, told from the viewpoint of "the beast" and a surprise ending in which hunter and prey become confused.
