thats what I originally thought too. The photo was taken in the dark without flash.. I just could see the white stringy thingies on the photo and assumed it was bugs, so I viewed the exif data and saw I didnt use flash, I added the light filter on Picasa, so I could see what I was taking a photo of, I saw the duplicate head and thought for sure motion blurr ( but look nothing else is duplicated in the photo.. its grainy because I did not use flash, also look at the red misty thing in the bottom right of the photo, and behind the guy to the right...) I zoomed in on the second head, and it is a different face never seen red squiggles before like the number two over the guys hand...

Actually nothing..and I lightened the photo as it was all black with exception to the white squigglies and the red number 2..as I forgot to open my flash.....I lightened the photo to see what I was taking a photo of and generally night photos without flash are grainy. .and after taking 245 photos and forgetting the flash half a dozen times... This is the only one that came out with anything but the subjects

judging by the blur of the people in this photo we know by looking at it that the camera was moved mid exposure. I'm not sure what type of camera was used or if you had the ability to alter the exposure on this ( knowing the exposure time would help to determine the amount of motion blur) but for me personally I think the "squiggles" are bugs. They can be very reflective even when flash is not used and with as much blur as is present in the people/background a small bug will create this kind of squiggle

It was a Nikon P500 I do however believe it is auto exposure...with there being little light its probably longer like 1-2 seconds...(if you click on photos it will allow you to view all exif data on a photo )

It took me a few to find photo info too. I think the squigglies could be possibly very fast bugs...I cannot say one thing for sure..the red #2 still throws me off neither of the twins smoke or were holding devices.

It is also very possible the one near the blue asterisk to have moved slightly during the 2 second exposure to cause the double of the head..but the structures and trees still have clean edges with the exception of being grain from lack of light.. What I found more interesting is the circled area.
