I will be taking a hiatus from Departed Starlight for at least a minimum of a few weeks as I prepare for major surgery on Thursday, February 23, 2012.
While I'm "away", rest assured that I will make sure that they give me steak and potatoes through my IV. Know that Happy Hour will start as soon as I wake up probably, and for this I will be grateful. And, I promise to not let any wandering souls at the hospital exhaust my time of recouping and healing. And most importantly, I promise not to become one of the latest visiting spirits..... in other words, I don't plan on having any complications that will cause me my demise. Besides, I'd really need to lose some weight before trying to don a white sheet and floating around!
But... I do ask that while I'm gone, to put your thinking caps on and send me a lot of ideas or subjects you would like to see covered in Departed Starlight. Now obviously I can't help with Aunt Bea's problem of her chocolate pudding not setting up correctly and for anyone who might decide to contact me for a personal investigation of their home or business in my area - that will definitely be a "I'm sorry, I can't do" for a minimum of six weeks following the surgery. From that point on, investigations will be only as I feel physically up to doing them. However, with topic ideas in hand, I will have plenty of time to start writing while I am in bed or in my favorite recliner healing.
I will have access to my laptop and as I feel up to it, will check in from time to time and I will see twits via my cell phone.
