spiritsYou're probably thinking, "WRONG" those are not the words to Phil Collin's song; and you're absolutely right.  However, I purposely changed the words thanks to one of the two resident spirits who dwell in my apartment with me.

There I was, lying in bed, fast asleep when all of a sudden it was pandamonium....

Nah.... Just teasing there. But here is what happened this morning.

I was in bed sleeping. It's been on the mild side with the weather, so the heat has been off and I've been sleeping on top of my comforter using only a throw to cover my feet (the feet have to be covered).  A little after 3:30 am this morning, I was abruptly awakened by my foot being shook.  I woke up instantly and sat up to find nobody in the apartment but me.  So... it's been a "start" to my day.

I suppose that I could have been cranky about the whole situation since my sleep was disturbed. It certainly took me off guard enough to wake me up.  This happens frequently - ranging anywhere from 2:45 am through 4 am in the mornings.  And, unfortunately, I cannot blame all my loss of sleep on the upstairs neighbors even though they do contribute their fair share.

As I said, I have two spirits in my home.  One seems to keep himself primarily to my son's room but does venture and cause disturbances in the living room and kitchen as well.  The other one, is an elderly man, and primarily just sits in my room.  The funny part is he seems to enjoy my Lazy Boy recliner in my room.  But nonetheless, he usually just sits there smiling and rocking.

Not being able to do research on the property for historical values due to the corporation that owns the apartments that now stand on the land, I know a few things about my two residents.

The one that stays more to my son's room is one I do have issues with. It is male, does not like women at all and I've had go arounds repeatedly with him until I started cleansing on a daily basis to every other day basis.  While activity still occurs, he seems to keep it to a minimum of interaction when my son is home.  However, he can stir up the hairs on the back of your neck when alone with him.    The law has been laid down, and for now, since he is not willing to leave for whatever reason, we have an "understanding" that I will not put up with his temperment (even though my words are not always so "clean" to him but it depends on how irritated he gets me).

The other one, is elderly as I stated a minute ago.

My suspicion without being able to confirm anything is that a family home once stood here. And dear old "Grampa" as I refer to him as, is a feisty old coot who does like to get a good laugh in from time to time.

Every so often, a couple friends of mine who are also Sensitives and Empaths have come to visit me and they sometimes get quite a greeting from Grampa.  One instance when they came, we were talking and it was more of a serious tone of discussion when my one friend busted out laughing and saying "Knock it off".  I was in the kitchen fixing some coffee when my friend had this outburst. I looked up and before I could say anything to my friend, he turned around and said, "Grampa, stop tickling me!"  A short while later, as we passed my bedroom, my recliner was ever so slightly rocking.  Grampa had his kick for the day.

However, on a serious side, my son has taken to sleeping in the living room these last few days.  He's 20 years old and as when he was still in school, getting any major description of something from him seems near to impossible.  I inquired yesterday as to why he'd been sleeping so much in the living room as of late and his reply was, "It's too damned cold thanks to ole Grumpy in there!"  So around 11 pm last night, he went to stay with his buddy for the night to kick back, relax and catch some zzzz's that were not caught on a sofa.  Today's agenda here is to do a major workover cleansing wise on his room.

And if you think big brothers or father are protective of sisters or daughters, my son stands up to this particular spirit on a fairly regular basis; especially when he's leaving the house for the night.  I usually have to chuckle because the ending phrase is - "And if I get a call from my Mom about you acting up, it's not going to be nice when I get home!"

So, spirits come in all "shapes and sizes", as you can see by my sharing a bit about my two slackers.  And, it would be really nice if they could cough up some money to help with rent, and the heating bill... but our living arrangement is a work in progress of compromise; in a 75/25 type of way.  Especially with "ole Grumpy".
